Eligibility Criteria

To study MBBS in Barbados at Victoria University of Barbados, students need to fulfill certain conditions. Eligibility criteria helps us to maintain the quality check on admissions and ensures that the University adheres to all the statutory requirements.


Eligibility Criteria for Guyanese and International Students (Except students who are Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India):

To get admission to Victoria University of Barbados, all the students (Except students who are Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India) need to fulfill the criteria mentioned below (International Eligibility Criteria):

  1. The applicant must attain the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. If you are born on or before December 31, 2002, your age qualifies for the application;
  2. The applicant must have individually qualified the Higher Secondary School Examination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English; and
  3. The applicant must have completed the Higher Secondary Education with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for students who are Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India:

To get admission to Victoria University of Barbados, students who are Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (Indian Students), are required to fulfill the criteria mentioned below (Indian Eligibility Criteria):

  1. Indian Student must fulfill the eligibility conditions mentioned in point one and two of the International Eligibility Criteria;
  2. Indian Student must qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET);
  3. Indian Student must have completed the Higher Secondary Education with minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects as per the requirements tabulated below:
